/breaks this comm's cherry
Characters: Karkat Vantas, Galen Marek and Dave Strider
Type: log
Open or Closed: mother fucking closed
Summary: AU. Just...AU.
The second war had come before anybody could predict it. When Voldemort had risen again, it had been time to choose sides. Friendships were tested and broken, and many people were divided down the middle line of supporters and those who opposed him. Everyone knew their hopes for the war to end rested on the shoulders of one Harry Potter.
But that's another story all together.
Karkat Vantas had never expected to be placed in this position. Like many parts of his life, things happened, whether they were coincidental or not. Now a young man in his late twenties, life had been painful towards him. Some wounds never healed, even almost ten years on from school. There had been nothing. Life had forced him to choose the darker path, and it hadn't even dealt a fair hand to begin with.
Then Galen had offered to guide him, and Karkat had accepted.
His world was filled with lies and deception, death and torture. Many of those he used to call friend in school had fallen, and much of the time he was the one responsible. Payback. A little pain for pain. And now he sat watching the main reason for his schoolhood torment sleep like Sleeping fucking Beauty, blonde hair tousled from the fall. Dave Strider was kind of beautiful, bound in the dark room lit only by a few candles. Karkat's rust coloured eyes watched, waiting for him to wake.
Let the fun begin.
